Who We Are
Sizzle ("we," "us," or "our") is a cooking education app that teaches kitchen skills through sensory cues, food science, and hands-on challenges. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

What Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly and information generated by your use of the app.
Account Information
- Email address and password (if you sign up with email)
- Name and profile info from Google (if you sign in with Google OAuth)
Learning & Progress Data
- Lessons completed, XP earned, and current level
- Badges and achievements unlocked
- Daily streak and activity history
- Recipes viewed and cooked
- Daily quiz answers and scores
Device & Usage Data
- Device type and operating system (iOS or Android)
- App usage analytics (screens visited, session length)
- Crash reports and error logs
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Save and sync your learning progress across sessions
- Personalize your experience (recipe recommendations, lesson progression)
- Award badges, XP, and track your streak
- Send you important updates about the app (no spam, we promise)
- Improve the app through usage analytics
- Display relevant ads via our advertising partners (see Section 6)
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, our backend infrastructure provider. Supabase uses industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Services
Sizzle uses the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Google Sign-In — optional social authentication
- Google AdMob — advertising (see Section 6)
- AppLovin — advertising mediation (see Section 6)
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review them.
Advertising
Sizzle displays ads provided by Google AdMob and AppLovin. These advertising partners may use certain device identifiers and usage data to serve you relevant ads. This may include:
- Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
- General location data (country/region level)
- In-app behavior (e.g., which screens you visit)
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads). Opting out means you may still see ads, but they won't be personalized to your interests.
Children's Privacy
Sizzle is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@jamiecorp.com and we will promptly delete that information.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis
- Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format

Data We Do Not Sell
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Full stop.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app grows. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
Continued use of Sizzle after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
